more from the unlikely journey….
“he was carrying another weight in his heart and he wasn’t sure how much more of that he could take.” – p. 128, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Frye
“another memory surged into his mind.”
April 7 – Golden winged dragonflies
“It struck Harold (afresh) how life could change in an instant. You could be doing something so everyday – not knowing that everything that you wanted, you were about to lose.” – P. 144, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Frye
“It was not a life, if lived without love.” – P. 147
April 9 (Jon’s birthday)
The purple flowers are bold, bright, beautiful, cheery and welcoming today
The soft sound of the new chimes can finally be heard.
“When I was young(er) … (and) I assumed my life (had been) sorted out … It had never occurred to me that when I got to sixty-three (57) I’d be in the most appalling mess.” – P. 188, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Frye
April 11
Cheery daisies smile at me from all across the yard today, the busy bees are at their work, and I discover that there’s a baby mourning dove hanging out in the garden area.
and when all is said and done, this is what I hope…
Dear Lord, Thank you for giving me the strength to complete the task You entrusted to me. Thank You for guiding me straight and true, through the many obstacles in my path, and for keeping me resolute when all around seemed lost.
Thank You for Your protection and for Your many signs along he way.
Thank You for any good that I may have done, and I’m so sorry about the bad.
– The Book of Eli (movie)
‘walk by faith, not by sight’
“I fought the good fight.
I finished the race.
I kept the faith.”
