The Moon in June

The sun’s up, and the moon’s not down.
Why does this seem odd to me?
It’s not right. It’s not normal.

Just a few years ago I started noticing that the moon would be up before the sun went down. The moon was out in the daytime.
I do not remember things being this way in my younger years, only the recent years.
Was I just not paying attention? Or was I always paying attention and that is why I am aware now that things have changed?
Maybe it’s the effect of pollution? The daytime skies are now more like the nighttime skies, allowing the sun’s reflection off the moon to show even in the daytime hours?

Why am I up, and the moon’s not down?

! The absurdities in today’s world just continue to mount.
People suing Starbuck’s for only filling their latte’s 3/4’s of the way in the cup.
Since when do businesses not have the right to determine how much product for what price?
You don’t like it, don’t pay for it.

Ok, I am going to need a nap sometime today. πŸ˜› πŸ™‚

“How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these.”

  1. The moon is out in the daytime about half of every month. It’s harder to see in the day sometimes, when the moon is new it actually travels between us and the sun and isn’t visible without looking directly at the sun, never look directly at the sun! Here’s a link to a moon chart that will tell you where the moon is on any given day. Farmers and Fishermen use this chart a lot! I like George’s quote…it’s so true! Now, enjoy that nap =)

  2. When I was a little girl I would see the moon in the Indian sky during the day. I would tell my little sister, “we have to go to bed, because the moon is out”. πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ Hope you have a great nap.

    Hope you got a nap!
Too much pondering makes my pea-brain tired. I try to rest it before it starts smoking. πŸ˜› πŸ˜€
The moon has bee so gorgeous here this week!
    HUGS!!! πŸ™‚
PS…I’m sure Frankie would have a poem about June and moon and croon and prunes…or some such thing! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜€

    1. Yes, I’m sort of leaning today towards wanting to retire my brain. :-/
Amazing to see a sliver of the moon gone already last night. I’m always surprised somehow by how quickly it passes from being a full moon.

    2. HAHahaha – I had to think about that…. So your brain is resting nicely in Florida while you are still living in Arizona? πŸ˜€ Nice for the brain, eh? That would explain alot. hehe – My brain is still with me, it just refuses to work … or it works too much for the body to keep up with… πŸ˜› It is a very fickle thing, my brain.

Point in fact: I’ve had to edit(correct) this reply 3 times. πŸ˜›
