‘Snacky’ day

~ Tuck the northern star in a candy jar and save it for a rainy day ~

Shadows in the Moonlight – Josh Woodward

Sometimes my ‘usual self’ feels ‘good’ after having been ill,
but today even my usual self feels… well… usual. πŸ˜› 😦

I watched a good movie yesterday:
Woman in Gold, based on the true story of the paintings of Gustav Klimt taken from a Jewish family in Austria during the time of Hitler’s annexation of the country; and the case of how Maria Altmann, living in the United States, won back from the Austrian government, the portrait of her aunt, and others.

I won’t share my ‘Why’ post. It would seem too morbid, too depressed. Though it really isn’t, it might seem that way to some, but I will share this;
All my life I have been asking, ‘Why?’, and I am still asking, ‘Why?’.
I remain that 3 year old child.

In the last few days life went from ‘dreary’, to downcast.

‘why so downcast, O, my soul?’

The upbeat is; some packages have been delivered to my door… things I ordered… containing some Sweet Onion Wheat Thins, and some Chex Mix, good treatsΒ  πŸ™‚Β  It’s always pleasant to receive packages however they come by.Β  Now I can have a ‘snacky’ day. πŸ˜‰

On to another movie:Β  The Railway Man

β€œFrom the beginning of time,
the clock struck one.
A drop of dew,
and the clock struck two.
From the dew grew a tree,
and the clock struck three.
Then the tree made a door,
and the clock struck four.
Then man came alive,
and the clock struck five.
Count not, waste not,
the hours on the clock.
Behold I stand at the door and knock.” – Eric Lomax

Somber, sulky,
dreary, dim,
sadly, madly,
wearing thin. – C.Lynn

  1. Lynn, I missed this masterpiece the other day. What is wrong with me—just ask my wife.

Bummer. I get depressed sometimes. Once I went to a shrink for six visits. I was shocked what she got out of my mind—old, old memories. The said they were still playing in my head. Then she had me make a list of only things that I had done successfully. Lol Then she sort of laughed because I did the list submissively–a problem of mine. She helped a lot. Then I read the book ‘The Disease to Please.’ That became my personality Bible–it was all me. I am still basic Frank, but I understand why I am this way with other problems I don’t share publiclly. (Nothing bad!! Lol)

Anyway, have a nice weekend. Go to a coffee shop and get some healing fluids into your body.

    Praying for you!

    Hugs

Hope today is more up-cast and bright! πŸ™‚
We all have down times/days. Wearing thin is only good if we are losing weight that is needed to be lost! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜› Hoping that emotionally you are wearing thick soon! πŸ˜€
OOH…you have good taste in snacks! YAY for a snacky day! If your name was Jackie, I could say, “Yay for a snacky day, Jackie!” Ha! Now I’m just being goofy! πŸ˜›
